I should also note that in contrast to V2 there is absolutely no guarantee
that your IdP's metadata will be in any of the metadata feeds that your IdP
uses, or it may be filtered out and so not available.

Of course you can force the IdP to consume its own metadata but I wonder
what it is that you need from you own IdP's metadata?  Maybe it is the
garnishments that your federation adds?
