Fwd: Shib on Tomcat 7 (and 8)

The Unicon-created dta-ssl plugin that will allow the Shib 2.x IdP to run with Tomcat 7 (and 8), while retaining the SOAP endpoint support, is available at the below github url. That includes documentation equivalent to what is currently in the Shib wiki regarding the Tomcat 6 dta-ssl connector. I know that Unicon already has a signed SLA with Internet2, is there anything more that would be needed to contribute this to the project? Does the project want to move this to their own repository? And once we know where to point to the jar, I assume you'd have no objections if we update the appropriate Shib wiki page for Tomcat?
p.s. do you need us to add anything more explicit as far as an open source license? The source files themselves contain the standard UCAID license header.

The tomcat6 and tomcat7 subdirectories have instructions for each; That documentation should be a drop in replacement for the “Supporting SOAP Endpoints” section ofhttps://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/IdPApacheTomcatPrepare. Let me know if there’s anything wrong.
