That raises a good point, although it's always possible to add aliased configuration elements that meet a new convention.

I expect we'd want to do that if we converted SAML to Saml and XML to Xml.

Other things in that config are really just arbitrary IDs, so can be changed in defaults.

The other complication is that SAML itself tends to follow the all-caps approach, at least in a few places, not too many really. ID instead of Id for example. So no matter what, we will have some inconsistency (the same would be true if we didn't use camel, of course).
