Mathew Ian Eis <Mathew.Eis at nau.edu> reported the issue to us. I've
encouraged him to report this issue on the Shibboleth users mailing
list. If he doesn't, I will report what I know second hand.

At this time, I will say: Apparently there is at least one bug in the
IdP and xmllint *does* report an error on InCommon metadata. Mathew
can provide the details. (I don't want to steal his thunder :)
