You're not going to find much of anything that's not biased (and speaking
as a technical expert with a particular point of view, mostly misguided
and lacking an understanding of critical issues). In any case, this isn't
the place for a religious debate.

Your other question was about customizing authentication in the IdP. There
are documents on that in the wiki, along with general documentation on
development with it. And there are contributions of custom login handlers
in the wiki, plus the examples that it ships with.
