Yeah, I wasn't talking I2/InC. I would be amazed if any single person
could effect any change there. And, as best as I can tell, what you
described as the "unfortunate outcome" is, in fact, their position.

Well, it's been brought up on the various lists a couple times over
the last year and it's been discussed ad nauseum internally for 3
years now. What I was picking up on though was the response from the
thread you referenced though which was "yeah, some one should do
something about this, but I can't". And I totally understand that
most people on this can't, in fact, write a check on behalf of their
organization.
So, now we, the Shib folks, are in the position were one of our
"partners" doesn't follow through with things they say and chastises
us if we suggest or actually do contact US universities directly. So,
you know, damned if you do, damned if you don't.
