That should be fine. Nothing older than lenny is getting security updates
anyway (well, there are Ubuntu LTS releases, but I don't know that anyone
is trying to update Shibboleth on those), and lenny won't past February of
next year. I've already stopped bothering to backport the most recent
Shibboleth SP packages to lenny and haven't gotten any requests. I
believe most sites running Debian stable are now well into their upgrades
of systems to squeeze.
