Agreed all round and yes if you stop specifying something in an msi it goes away.

we’d actually do away with the 32 bit msi just some of the 32 bit msms I have no idea what the 32 to 64 bit upgrade of shibd looks like but I wouldn’t imagine it’s any harder than uninstall, install

More interesting is what gets gc’d out of the upstream build in the 32 bit space I’m thinking

Curl (obvs), OpenSSL & Santuario. I have a suspicion that that but is going to be harder than the rest (because iirc there is some kludgery involved in getting their build tools to work.
