At some point we’ll have to move past curl 7.88.1 and the next version drops 32-bit support. I don’t think we have any exposure to 32-bit Linux where curl was a problem, so I think it’s Windows only.

I think we can adjust the projects and installer layout files to omit the shibd/etc. files that would require libcurl, but there is some concern about upgrading a system with 32-bit shibd manually installed in the service database.

Officially we don’t support any 32-bit only Windows so probably this is a legacy problem for lots of people on rotted systems more than anything else.
