The OP does not support the Direct Encryption key management mode for JWE encryption/decryption. This is the direct use of a shared secret (e.g. client_secret) as the content-encryption key for encryption and decryption without key wrapping or key encryption of a derived content-encryption key.

The OP does not advertise it does, so this is just an enhancement if we want to support it. I assume few clients actually request JWT encryption, and fewer (if any) would only support the direct encryption mode.
