Current overall status is that I have a personal fork of Spring Web Flow (see IDP-1892 ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/browse/IDP-1892 ) In Progress ) which allows me to build java-parent-project , java-support , spring-extensions , java-opensaml and java-identity-provider in the Java 17, Spring Framework 6, Jakarta EE 9 environment. Everything builds and runs unit tests, and I have built a CI stack in Jenkins. My plan is to rebase the various dev branches from time to time to keep then up to date against main , prior to actually branching for v5. At that point, I’d want to review my dev branches and tidy any field-expedient hacks.

Next action is probably to try and deploy a version of this to see if it’s functional at a basic level. This may involve widening the net to plugins, but I’d hope to avoid that for now.
