Well, the “proper” fix, honestly, is to wire slf4j to your chosen logging in Tomcat so that the calls are handled. In Jetty, we simply use logback but it doesn’t matter what one uses as long as there’s a bridge.

The only improvement we can make is just hardcoding it back to something that’s not DEBUG, by putting /logback.xml back into the classpath, which we’ll probably do, but that won’t be configurable.
