Ah, I think I misread the docs, I didn’t see that there were two options discussed there. The one you wants says “If you can't move the classes to another project, you can deploy the classes and resources included in your webapp as an "attached" artifact, with a classifier, by using the following configuration:”

I think I get it now, let me test that and if it does what I think it does we can talk about that Friday.
