Another mid point is to have the HttpXXX methods of our thread local proxy issue deprecation warnings. We’d need to make sure that all our code was using suppliers but that would solve a lot.
I think we can live with our contexts returning an HTTPXXX (via the Supplier) since they are by their nature pinned to this request.
More poking needed.
