I think I get you - I just need to poke at it.

At the very least our beans need to set a Supplier, we can leave getting the Request if we think people need them. It might well be that Action Beans can have a supplier getter to. Its the Context beans which are more delicate (because likely to be used by scripts), but if the getters are a call to the Supplier then we are in a happier place. But I need to look at it in the code to get my head straight.
