I’m still evaluating what to do here. One of the issues we need to face up to is that the OIDC plugins implement the Attribute Filter Interface which means I’m less willing to break APIs in V5 (even with a deprecation in 4.3) since I’m into reducing impedance across major releases.

Equally as I note above the concept of filtering is much more set-like (a value added from two sources should only turn up once). So today I am wondering whether this should be documentation, whereas yesterday I was all for making it a List.
