If we decide to do this my proposal would be to

* Remove the getClass() method from those parsers and make them abstract.
* Add a simple parser alongside the class we need to instantiate
* Register these new parsers using the mechanism we already added for secondary parsers.

I'm not going to rush to do it, but it will probably get done before 5.0 ships/
