I believe that was what led to the comment about that code being absolutely embarassing. I don’t think I came up with a clean way to deal with this because the requested claims were so oddly laid out relative to what you’d have to deal with for an actual claim. It couldn’t really know that the thing wasn’t a claim named “foo” vs. a requested claim named “foo” with that subvalue thing indicating the required status. I didn’t have an answer so I punted and just implemented what we needed at the time. Payment is due on that I guess.
