Ah. No, don’t do that. We’ve maintained a hard and fast rule that the IdP never needs its “own” metadata, even if that metadata is artificial as in this case. We don’t want to confuse the issues with metadata by treating what you need to tell other people as connected to what you have to know yourself, particularly because it creates problems when those have to be in conflict to effect gradual deployment changes.
