Status: I have processed though the majority of dependencies on the basis of blindly accepting patch releases and ignoring major releases entirely using the restriction mechanism. After the explicit holdouts previously mentioned, that leaves the following:

[INFO]   org.hibernate:hibernate-core ............ 5.4.30.Final -> 5.6.14.Final
[INFO]   org.hsqldb:hsqldb ..................................... 2.6.1 -> 2.7.1
[INFO]   org.jsoup:jsoup ..................................... 1.14.3 -> 1.15.3

I’ll look at those tomorrow. I’ll also have a quick trawl through plugins although I expect to leave a lot of those alone for now and catch them on the main branch.
