Daniel will be releasing a new Cryptacular that will have a dependency on the newest Bouncy Castle. This will clean up our adaptation a fair bit as it means we won’t need to perform an exclusion there.

Discussion on Slack concluded that we should pick both of these things up for a patch release post IdP 4.2 and not delay 4.2 for them, given the possibility of instability from the change.
