Hi Scott,

thanks for considering this feature. Also thanks for the feedback regarding my configuration scheme. I will look a little more into the dynamic metadatasources. Your are right that with a little bit of puppet “magic“ I might be able to combine all FilesystemMetadataProviders into one LocalDynamicMetadataProvider. Unfortunately we also have a set of FileBackedHTTPMetadataProvider of local SPs that are not part of a federation. For these I think the only way would be to let puppet download the metadata and then include it into the LocalDynamicMetadataProvider.

Another DFN-AAI admin pointed me to the Metadata Aggregator. I think that another solution could be to combine all metadata into one and then only have one FilesystemMetadataProvider but it seems that in the current stage the MA configuration is to complex for me.
