Thanks for the feedback. I’ll make sure that the defaults are all documented. You are of course welcome to put the metadata properties into the idp.properties file. But that strays into the area of operatioaliztion and I have zero experience. I’d defer to Scott and others.

I did consider templates, but my feeling (and, I believe that of the project as a whole) is that this is a one-off thing. You run this to automate the boring and error prone bit of the config and then you add all the stuff you need then you are done.

So anything which makes it more “on -demand” or “SP-like” is not going to happen, in particular I don’t see us wanting to think about (this is why the metadata is pre-expired).

But I am mostly channelling other team members here (see above under zero operationization experience).
