Shibboleth Identity Provider 3.0.0-beta1 available for testing

The Shibboleth Project team has updated the prerelease of our upcoming 
3.0.0 Identity Provider release, and beta-1 is now available for testing.

We expect this to be the only beta release prior to a final shipping 
version next month.

Limited documentation for testers, primarily expected to be people 
familiar with the 2.x software, is available with some updates:

We will be working on revamping this material into a more-final form for 
the release over the next 2-3 weeks, so material will be shuffling around.

As with previous releases, we have made more breaking configuration 
changes so starting from scratch is suggested for anybody already testing 
alphas. We expect more limited changes from this point on, so if you're 
concerned about something, now is the time to say it.

This release is essentially feature complete, including the addition of 
attribute and terms consent support modeled on uApprove and its forks. 
Both all-or-nothing and per-attribute consent are supported, though 
neither is yet enabled by default, which is likely to change for the 
release.

We encourage any and all testing of the software, and you may file direct 
bug reports against the "IDP" project in our issue tracker, or discuss 
issues or ask questions on the development list [2] freely.

Thanks to all the testers who have provided feedback and bug reports so 
far. This has been a very, very long road and we appreciate the patience 
of the community as we near the finish line.
