Further, we've used the logs to identify some really bad offenders and blocked the worst few and things have settled down further for now. But chasing offenders, let alone arguing with them over their sense of entitlement, is not a good use of time, so we will use this to motivate a longer term solution that will automate the answer one way or the other.

I do not currently anticipate a need to close it off right now, but having said that, I don't feel we are in the least obligated not to for non-members, so take that under advisement.
