<p>As the title says I'm having trouble starting shibboleth since we upgraded to ubuntu 20.04 using shibboleth 3.0.4 installed with apt install.</p>

<p>When running 'systemctl start shibd.service' we get an error. Running 'journalctl -xe' shows the message '/usr/sbin/shibd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory'. I have tried reinstalling

 shibboleth but the same error occurs. I have included information that 'ubuntu bug' provides.</p>

<p>We can see that shibboleth-sp-utils depends on libxmltooling8 which in turn depends on libssl1.1, but shibd.service asks for version 1.0.0 according to the error message mentioned above, which seems a bit strange.</p>

<p>Is this known for ubuntu 20.04? Should I SWITCHaai instead?</p>
