<li><span>This was not happening prior to yesterday's upgrade from 3.3.0 - I've checked the idp-process log from Monday, and I can find one "New metadata successfully loaded" entry (the regular once-daily load of the UK Federation metadata). Today's log shows
multiple such entries (it looks like two every 15 minutes) for each registered metadata provider.</span></li><li><span>We made no alteration to the conf\services.properties file during the upgrade. I have only tried altering this since I noticed the issue this afternoon.</span></li><li><span>We put no scripts in place to poke it, during the upgrade, so any which are in place would already have been in place.</span></li></ul>
<div><span>As well as setting <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: left; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); display: inline !important;">idp.service.metadata.checkInterval to PT0S, I
have also tried PT1440M (restarting the service each time). Neither change had an effect. Are there any other configuration settings which may be overriding those in services.properties?<br>

Either the setting isn't what you think it is, or you might have a script somewhere poking it manually to reload the metadata, which would be logged.<br>
<br>
The latter is more likely because the configuration would have to actually be changing to cause it to reload everything.<br>
