I realize this question likely needs to be directed to InCommon, but
was hoping someone here may know.

I've not been about to move to the MDQ service yet and initially
(right/wrong/indifferent) the thinking is to initially configure MDQ
for "All Entities":

<MetadataQueryProtocol>https://mdq.incommon.org/entities</MetadataQueryProtocol>

Which InCommon's documentation states: is akin to the legacy main
aggregate available at http://md.incommon.org/InCommon/InCommon-metadata.xml

In the new MDQ configuration to support this "akin to legacy"
approach, does it support writing to a file similar to the old MD
service like:

backingFile="%{idp.home}/metadata/InCommonMDQ-metadata.xml"

Thanks,
Don
