Not that's it's terribly relevant, but the "method=POST" argument
was supported as far back as CAS v3.4.10 (the JASig product) that we
were using prior to deploying Shib IdP v3.2.1.<br>

Can you please cite a reference for this? I recall
that's a feature of the Jasig CAS server specifically,
not something defined in the protocol [1].</div>

definition as an optional feature. Whether that’s the version
being implemented here or what the standards process is, I have
