The picture thats being slowly painted for us by Microsoft seems to be that necessary client software updates have already been released as part of the 'Nov office updates and are there dormant. Apparently their usage currently requires the ADAL features
be both enabled on the client machine and on the Office 365 tenant even though the official O365 roadmap has listed passive SAML auth as "rolling out" since Nov. Even more so, MS seems to only be providing those instructions and activating ADAL for tenants
enrolled to the Private Preview Program which has been capped lately but we may finally make it into.

What strikes me as most odd is the very public "rolling out" status on the roadmap while simultaneously being told some parts are still only available to the private preview.

In the meantime, we continue to push MS as we've held off, hoped, and told our clients we're waiting on a pure SAML deployment for all that we offer inside O365.
I just wanted to let you know that these concerns have been relayed to the NET+ Office 365 team, so hopefully with some of their contacts, we’ll see resolution sooner rather than later.
Thanks for flagging this,
