</div>Memcached does not automatically re-hash unless you configure it to (and<br>
if you do, a whole host of cache consistency issues arise). It will fail<br>
the items hashed to the offline server. The software using the memcached<br>
client is supposed to gracefully handle failed cache reads and writes.<br>
If you want graceful handling of node outages done for you in the server<br>
and client then you want Couchbase.<br>
