<div>Sounds like a Tomcat issue. To determine, if you can connect to that Tomcat instance via SSL in a browser, then the Tomcat configuration is ok. So I would try to access the ROOT app or any app that is not Shibboleth located on that Tomcat instance.</div>

My question to this list is this -- is there any way this could be a shibboleth-idp issue? I'm posting more detailed tomcat config on a tomcat users list as I'm convinced this is not a shib configuration problem but unfortunately, I've been wrong before....<br>
