<div dir="ltr">after removing shibd from httpd.conf did you restart httpd? in linux: service restart httpd, and to restart shibd: service restart shibd. if youve messed around alot with the config files it might be best to resinstall and get a clean slate. good luck<br>

I'm new to shibboleth (you might have guessed), and I have been trying to<br>
set up SSO for a wiki. I started by forcing https, which all worked<br>
correctly, and then installing and configuring the shibboleth SP. I was<br>
making progress and nothing had broken for a while, and I had gotten to the<br>
stage where I had a link in the corner of the page to single sign on (the<br>
link didn't actually work, but I'll tackle this first).<br>

Now, just yesterday it started to intermittently become impossible to<br>
navigate to the wiki. After some trial and error I noticed that commenting<br>
out the "load module mod_shib..." line from the apache2.conf file fixed it,<br>
and so I left it at that. When I came back today to try to have a look at<br>
what was going wrong, I noticed I could no longer navigate to the wiki /at<br>
all/, and the apache error log just shows literally tens of thousands of<br>
errors along the lines of "[crit] XML error(s) during parsing, check log<br>
file for specifics \n [crit] shib_child_init() failed to load<br>
configuration". These have occurred every second, sometimes many times per<br>
second, since yesterday. Even after completely removing any reference to<br>
shibboleth in the apache files, these continue to happen, and I cannot<br>
access the wiki through my browser.<br>

How might I go about fixing this?<br>
