Ok, I've heard back from Box and learned you must specifically ask for them to support encrypted assertions... they apparently do not do this by default when SSO-enabling a domain. After they added in this feature to our account, things are working flawlessly. Also, they told me they do not have a separate signing and encryption certificate, so the change we discussed to their metadata earlier applies, however, I was told of the existence of a second hosted metadata file, this one with the key duplicated for encryption so you don't have the make the changes Doug pointed out to the non-encrypted version. The "encrypted metadata" can be found at: https://cloud.box.com/shared/7spo68nzg9.
