Thanks everyone for the quick responses :). I haven't personally contacted the IT people, but I know some people who have and were told there wasn't any open API. However, I'm not entirely convinced by that. I'll contact the folks listed on that website and see if they have more information.

I've got a couple of applications in mind, one is a Python+Flask web app, and the other would be a moblie application written in Haxe. I know that Python, at least, seems to have decent SAML support.

At any rate, thanks so much David and Tom for the information. I'll do some digging and post again if I hit a wall.

I don't know what command-line clients you're referring to but the
above is an endpoint at the WUSTL identity provider, yes. You can
browse a human-readable version of its metadata here:
You should probably contact one of the people listed there and start a
conversation. If you were to SAML-enable your application, they might
trust your service provider deployment (or not, I have no idea).

Is your application a PHP application per chance? If so, simpleSAMLphp
might be your SAML implementation of choice. Shibboleth would work as
well (but may be overkill for your simple application). Best to talk
to the folks listed above and see what they suggest.
