Scott,<br><br>Thank you so much for your reply. <br><br>The reason I ask this question is that we are looking to integrate SSO/SAML into our product( as an SP ) that will be installed on customer's machine. Shib SP is a very good standalone program that we can use so we don't need to re-invent the wheel of SP. We are a little worried about the need to install the Shib Daemon. It is a separate process, and a separate service. <br>

No, you can't choose, it's always installed. The only choice, which is<br>
being removed from the next version since it's not really a choice, is<br>
whether to install it as a Windows service.<br>
