Thank you. I was wondering because I didn't see *any* class files in lib directories. That's the whole point of the mvn build, isn't it - to create one jar file?

I guess if I were describing it, I would just say

(which I can't actually lay my hands on now...) Actually, maybe the maven build instructions could be step 1, and then step 2 would be to copy the resulting jar file into the IdP source lib directory. (Thanks for setting me straight on that! Duh.)

I appreciate the tip on seeing what packages have been included in the IdP jar file, so I can verify that it all got tucked in there. That will eliminate a potential first line of troubleshooting.

No, all the extension jars go into <IdP dist dir>/lib
directory.

supporting files in the directories at the base of the path

so, do I copy just those base level directories to the

No, those class files are all packaged into the
shibboleth-idp-ext-delegation-1.0.jar, so you don't need to worry
about them. The only thing you need to copy are the jar files into
/lib.

This is what is described in the first step of the install
instructions:

1) Add the extension project jar and all
its dependencies from the extension lib directory to the IdP
source
5
distribution's lib directory.

If you have suggestions for how that can be better worded, let us
know.

After you complete install step # 2:

2) Re-run the IdP install script to build
and deploy the new WAR file.

you can run 'jar tvf idp.war' on the newly generated IdP war file to
confirm that the jar files you added are packaged into the new IdP
deployment archive.
