I can't imagine we wouldn't start with that extension when the work is done, but I can't really say as I haven't looked at it, nor I assume has Henri.

The client creds grant was a hugely invasive change to the plugin that was necessary to implement a lot of the core OAuth concepts into the plugin that were never needed by the OIDC cases. I would hope this isn't anywhere near as invasive but I haven't ever looked at it.
