Displaying the username requested by Microsoft

For users coming from Microsoft the POST to /idp/profile/SAML2/POST/SSO 
includes (in addition to the SAMLRequest and RelayState	parameters) a 
"username" parameter. This contains the username which had been entered 
into the username form from Microsoft.
We would like to be able to display this value in our view/login.vm.
However, because this is _not_ part of the SAMLRequest I seem unable to 
do so.
My strategy would've been to use a scripted shibboleth.CustomViewContext 
function, which extracts the value and provides it to the view. However 
I cannot find it anywhere in the context.
Has someone done this or does anybody have an idea where I could grab 
that value from?
