You still have to deal with Attribute Filtering for queries to be usable, I'm sure it's just not releasing anything to that requester identity.

Mechanically getting queries to work is no different than any other SP. Supply metadata, release attributes, done.

Notably, the 5.2 release includes a yet to be documented first version of a SAML Data Connector in the resolver that supports the protocol. Mostly for the SP later, but it's not limited to that.
