Upgrading to IdP 5.1.5 - property file gets deleted after upgrade.

Nice catch!  I have entered IDP-2398 [1] for this and I'll fix it for 5.2.0.

Actually, best I can see this has been broken for every release since 5.0.0.  Or at least the bug I am seeing has been there since
5.0.0
