Jetty 11 is producing excessive number of threads

Dear Scott,


thanks for your suggestion. I tried upgrading to jetty 12 and got an error about missing annotations module. There is no annotations module in jetty 12. Only ee8-annotations, ee9-annotations, ee10-annotations. Do you know which one I should use?

No idea, but 11 is EOL at this point, more or less. I wouldn't waste your time worrying about 11 and see if it happens for 12.

FWIW, no, I haven't seen anything like that on either, and I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion. Jetty limits its threads pretty automatically and the only way to avoid a problem like having new connections rejected is simply deploying more capacity.

I seriously doubt you need more capacity unless you're Google. I handle up to 400,000 logins a day on two servers that are largely idle.
