This is a native implementation that only requires storage, it doesn't rely on an external token service. Unless something's changed, PrivacyIDEA has its own proprietary API/abstraction to WebAuthn and other technologies.

We are not interested in requiring people to run PrivacyIDEA to use this technology with the IdP, we assessed that option and among other things there are already third parties doing work like that.
