Dear Colleagues,
I'm forwarding an invite for a UK federation webinar later this month. It's open to all, not just UK federation members. It would be good to see you there.
Best wishes,
Alex

> We are excited to invite you to a webinar on Thursday 14 November, at 13:00 GMT.
>
> This one-hour webinar will feature a guest speaker from HAKA, the Finnish federation. HAKA is managed by CSC (IT Center for Science Ltd) who, since 2015, has been consulting on, developing, and operating Shibboleth-based authentication gateways. Their deployments range from national infrastructure gateways handling hundreds of thousands of authentications daily to small, service-specific adapters for interoperability purposes. They also manage ecosystem-like gateways for services with extraordinary requirements, such as handling sensitive data.
>
> To our knowledge, no one else operates at this scale with Shibboleth. This webinar will be an opportunity to share these solutions with a broader audience and connect communities with similar plans or existing implementations, potentially leading to collaboration.

>
> The webinar will also highlight CSC's solutions from the past decade, showcasing Shibboleth's out-of-the-box capabilities and necessary extensions. We aim to demonstrate that Shibboleth is valuable both as an identity provider (IdP) and an authentication gateway/proxy.
>
> Although of general interest to all UK federation members we expect this webinar to be of particular interest to members operating service providers (SPs) via the UK federation.
>
> The webinar will be recorded and made available on the UK federation website after the event.
>
> We hope to see you there.
>
> Best regards,
