IdPv5 and Unicon's shib-cas-authn

Howdy,

Idpv5 is using Jakarta EE (servlet5 - ee9) while IdPv4 runs on Javax
(servlet4  - ee8).

Unicon's shib-cas-authn to do external authn from Shib to CAS hasn't yet
been updated to support IdPv5. The latest version in Unicon's repo still
uses the old servlet that IdPv5 doesn't support.

Does anyone from Unicon have an ETA on when a version supporting IdPv5
might be released? We're upgrading to IdPv5 from v4.3.1in dev now and are
concerned this could be a blocker.

Other IdP orgs running the shib-cas-authn must have run into this. How did
you get around it?

There is an open request to merge changes made by a community member in a
fork of the latest shib-cas-authn version. If he sees this post, perhaps he
can let me know if he rolled out his fix to production and how it went. :)
