Pass variable to data connector

Can a variable be passed from attribute definition to the data connector?

and applicationCode IN ('SHCJ')

Ideally I want the applicationCode to be passed in to retrieve the role for each application.

Yes, both attribute definitions and data connectors can have dependencies of either type, there are distinct elements for each type in modern versions.
