IDP 5.1.1 - adding SP metadata file to IDP without certificate

Dears,

 

We are having problems integration an SP (Policytech by NAVEX) with our idp
5 as their metadata does not include a certificate. We contacted support and
they said that don't provide certificate in the metadata however they have
ACS url, entity ID.

Regarding attributes, they request Object GUID and we are providing it
without problems.

 

When I put the metadata file as it is in IDP directory , the url does not
work at all. However if I put any random certificate inside the metadata the
url redirection works well however I cannot login.

 

We are migrating it from Microsoft ADFS (which it works well) to Shibboleth
IDP.

 

More over they said that "If IdP requires a certificate, we would not have 
one to provide them but if they can import metadata by file as .xml that
might 

work as an alternative."

 

Any clues?
