Shibboleth Upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3.3 has resulted in the logging to stop working

Hi,

I am currently facing an issue where I have upgraded Shibboleth from 4.2.1 to 4.3.3, this also required us to upgrade the platform of Java and Jetty in the process due to Jetty 12 being the only Jetty platform not being End of Life.

Product Upgrade Paths:


  *   jetty-distribution-9.4.34.v20201102 > jetty-home-12.0.11
  *   Shibboleth IdP 4.2.1 > Shibboleth IdP 4.3.3
  *   Java Amazon Corretto 11 > Java Amazon Corretto 17

As a result of this I am currently struggling for my IdP to generate any of the idp-*.log files in the /opt/shibboleth-idp/logs directory.

I've found that the settings in the /opt/shibboleth-idp/conf/logback.xml is loaded but doesn't generate the logs anymore.

Is there any assistance you can offer for getting our logging back working again so we can promote this upgrade to our live environments?
