SEGFAULT on RHEL9 when using metadata downloaded via HTTPS

I suspect it is related to something like libcurl, but i'm not sure,
and someone told me that can be also caused by any parameter passed to
libcurl. Anyway first of all i'd like to understand if someone else is
having the same issue and if there is another workaround, like some
option in shibboleth config to avoid this.
