Using RSASSA-PSS with IdPv4

None I know of, I'd never heard of it.

As for the reverse mapping, I don't know exactly how it's used, but I can imagine picking a signing algorithm based on key type and digest algorithm and breaking everything. Typically we specify default algorithms though so I kind of doubt it's being used by any of our software. I don't see anything calling the method.
